According to police, the man had set up a weapons and ammunition operation in the city, selling them for money and seeking buyers among people he knew.<\/p>\n<p>The illegal trade was uncovered and stopped under the procedural supervision of the prosecutor\u2019s office. The following units took part:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>investigators and officers from the <strong>Pervomaisk District Police Department<\/strong>;<\/li>\n<li>officers from the <strong>Criminal Investigation Department of the regional police<\/strong>;<\/li>\n<li>specialists from the <strong>Criminal Analysis Department of the regional police headquarters<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>After another sale, investigators detained the man under <strong>Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine<\/strong>. At the scene, police seized the money he had received for the illegally sold grenade launcher and grenade bodies with fuzes.<\/p>\n<p>Urgent investigative actions were also carried out at the detainee\u2019s home. There, police seized a magazine for an automatic firearm and ammunition for it. All seized items were sent to experts for examination.<\/p>\n<p>Under the procedural supervision of the <strong>Pervomaisk Department of the Mykolaiv Specialized Prosecutor\u2019s Office in the Southern Region\u2019s Defense Sector<\/strong>, investigators notified the man that he was suspected of committing the crime provided for under <strong>Part 1 of Article 263 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine<\/strong> on <strong>two counts<\/strong>. The charges concern the unlawful handling of weapons, ammunition, or explosives. He faces a maximum sentence of up to <strong>7 years<\/strong> in prison.<\/p>\n<p>The court ordered the suspect held in custody for <strong>2 months<\/strong>, with the option of posting bail.
