Despite the increase, it was <strong>9.3%<\/strong> lower than the national figure: in the same month, the average salary in <strong>Ukraine<\/strong> was <strong>33,153 hryvnias<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>These figures were released by the <strong>Main Department of Statistics in Mykolaiv Oblast<\/strong>. The calculation covers businesses, institutions, and organizations with at least <strong>10 employees<\/strong>. The amounts include personal income tax and the military levy; they are not take-home pay after these deductions.<\/p>\n<p>Compared with <strong>August 2026<\/strong>, average pay in the oblast increased by <strong>7.3%<\/strong>. Compared with <strong>September of the previous year<\/strong>, it rose by <strong>22.3%<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The highest and lowest average salaries were recorded in the following sectors:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning supply \u2014 <strong>58,080 hryvnias<\/strong>, the highest average salary;<\/li>\n<li>arts, sports, entertainment, and recreation \u2014 <strong>13,896 hryvnias<\/strong>, the lowest average salary.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Meanwhile, employers accumulated wage arrears. As of <strong>October 1, 2026<\/strong>, businesses, institutions, and organizations in the oblast owed a total of <strong>72.4 million hryvnias<\/strong>. Over the month, unpaid wages increased by <strong>13.4%<\/strong>, or <strong>8.5 million hryvnias<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The largest shares of the total arrears were owed by:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>industry \u2014 <strong>62.2%<\/strong>;<\/li>\n<li>agricultural businesses \u2014 <strong>29.5%<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>By location, <strong>61%<\/strong> of all wage arrears were concentrated at businesses in <strong>Mykolaiv Raion<\/strong>.
