The <strong>National Bank<\/strong> set the rate for the US currency at this level. In the cash market and card segment, some banks are already offering dollars for significantly more.<\/p>\n<p>The previous record was set by the official rate on <strong>October 28<\/strong>, when the dollar was worth <strong>UAH 45.60<\/strong>. This high was surpassed in about a week.<\/p>\n<p>The following banks set their dollar selling rate at <strong>UAH 47<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>PolikomBank<\/strong> \u2014 at its branches for cash transactions;<\/li>\n<li><strong>MetaBank<\/strong> \u2014 also in the cash market;<\/li>\n<li><strong>Bank of Investments and Savings<\/strong> \u2014 in the card segment, where this was the highest selling price.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Average exchange rates in the currency market were lower:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>banks bought cash dollars at <strong>UAH 45.52<\/strong> and sold them at <strong>UAH 46.25<\/strong>;<\/li>\n<li>in the card segment, average buying and selling rates ranged from <strong>UAH 45.51 to 46.17<\/strong> per dollar.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>State-owned banks offered the following cash rates:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>PrivatBank<\/strong> \u2014 buying at <strong>UAH 45.50<\/strong>, selling at <strong>UAH 46.10<\/strong>;<\/li>\n<li><strong>Oschadbank<\/strong> \u2014 buying at <strong>UAH 45.40<\/strong>, selling at the same rate as <strong>PrivatBank<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Bankers note that people have been buying cash dollars more actively in recent days. Interest in the currency is growing amid the rise in the official exchange rate and expectations that the US dollar will continue to strengthen.<\/p>\n<p>Rising demand has also led to increased trading on the interbank market. Previously, daily transaction volumes stood at around <strong>$300 million<\/strong>, but have now approached <strong>$400 million<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>In particular, the volume of deals concluded on the main trading platform, <strong>Bloomberg<\/strong>, reached <strong>$441.5 million<\/strong>. The buying rate ranged from <strong>UAH 45.51<\/strong> to <strong>UAH 45.81<\/strong> per dollar. The upper end of this range was also a record.<\/p>\n<p>According to banking experts, the <strong>NBU<\/strong> currently sells more than <strong>90%<\/strong> of the currency on the market. <strong>One<\/strong> explanation for this situation is exporters\u2019 reluctance to convert their foreign-currency earnings at the current rate.<\/p>\n<p>Against this backdrop, the regulator has significantly increased its foreign exchange interventions. Its sales volumes were:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>on <strong>November 2<\/strong> \u2014 about <strong>$440.8 million<\/strong>, or approximately <strong>93%<\/strong> of total trading volume on the <strong>Bloomberg<\/strong> platform;<\/li>\n<li>last week \u2014 <strong>$1.8 billion<\/strong>;<\/li>\n<li>in <strong>October<\/strong> \u2014 <strong>$5.99 billion<\/strong>;<\/li>\n<li>since the beginning of the year \u2014 around <strong>$44.3 billion<\/strong> on the interbank market.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Weekly and monthly currency sales were the highest since the beginning of <strong>2026<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>For comparison, as of <strong>October 1<\/strong>, <strong>Ukraine\u2019s<\/strong> international reserves stood at <strong>$47.1 billion<\/strong>.
