After Russia struck a school in Komyshuvakha, Zaporizhzhia region<\/strong>, the death toll rose to 31<\/strong>. Another five people<\/strong> were injured, and 50 people<\/strong> are considered missing.<\/p>\n

The updated figures were released today, November 3<\/strong>, by Mykhailo Semikin, acting head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration<\/strong>, on Telegram @zoda_gov_ua<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The attack took place yesterday, Monday, November 2<\/strong>: Russian forces struck a school where humanitarian aid was being distributed<\/a>. Local residents received aid there every week. Initial reports put the death toll at 18<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

At least nine airstrikes<\/strong> hit the settlement, using different types of aerial bombs. Russian forces first dropped a FAB-500<\/strong>, then used a FAB-3000<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe FAB-3000<\/strong> is a three-ton<\/strong> aerial bomb containing almost one and a half tons<\/strong> of explosives. This weapon is used to destroy reinforced concrete fortifications and bunkers,\u201d explained Mykhailo Semikin<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

According to him, a direct hit by the aerial bomb caused the concrete structure of an underground center to collapse. A fire broke out at the site of the strike.<\/p>\n

Mourning for the victims in Zaporizhzhia region<\/strong> will last three days<\/strong> \u2014 November 3, 4, and 5<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
