The <strong>Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine<\/strong> said they were helping local residents reach shelter during the attack.<\/p>\n<p>People were making their way to a shelter located in an underground school. <strong>Ministry of Internal Affairs<\/strong> personnel stayed by their side until the last moment, when Russian forces launched a second airstrike.<\/p>\n<p>The ministry named those killed and spoke about their service:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Denys Konovalenko<\/strong> \u2014 squad commander with the <strong>Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Zaporizhzhia region<\/strong>. He dedicated nearly <strong>12 years<\/strong> to the service.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Oleksii Suschevskyi<\/strong> \u2014 a driver with the same unit. He worked in fire and rescue departments in <strong>Zaporizhzhia<\/strong> for more than <strong>13 years<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Mykola Balanda<\/strong> \u2014 senior criminal police investigator with <strong>23 years<\/strong> of service.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Mykhailo Romanov<\/strong> \u2014 community police officer who maintained law and order in the region\u2019s settlements for more than <strong>10 years<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Dmytro Besiedin<\/strong> \u2014 community police officer who also maintained law and order in the region\u2019s settlements for more than <strong>10 years<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Mykhailo Buzhenko<\/strong> \u2014 senior precinct police officer.
