According to police, the local community suffered losses of more than <strong>260,000 hryvnias<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The entrepreneur\u2019s illegal activity was exposed by officers of the <strong>Police Department No. 3 of the Voznesensk District Police Department<\/strong>. The <strong>Voznesensk District Prosecutor\u2019s Office<\/strong> oversaw the proceedings.<\/p>\n<p>Investigators established that in <strong>April 2023<\/strong>, the entrepreneur signed a contract with a <strong>department of the Yuzhnoukrainsk City Council<\/strong>. Under the agreement, he was to carry out repair work at the shelter of a municipal lyceum.<\/p>\n<p>According to the investigation, over several months the contractor prepared and submitted completion certificates that overstated the volume and cost of the work and construction materials. Investigators established that he knowingly entered false information into official documents. According to police, these actions caused financial losses to the community.<\/p>\n<p>Based on the evidence gathered, the entrepreneur was notified of suspicion under <strong>two<\/strong> articles of the <strong>Criminal Code of Ukraine<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>in <strong>August 2026<\/strong> \u2014 of misappropriating another person\u2019s property by abusing an official\u2019s position, committed under martial law, under <strong>Part 4 of Article 191<\/strong>;<\/li>\n<li>later, following the relevant expert examinations \u2014 of forgery of official documents under <strong>Part 1 of Article 366<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The pre-trial investigation into <strong>two<\/strong> instances of criminal offenses has now been completed. Investigators submitted the indictment to the prosecutor\u2019s office, which then sent it to court for a hearing on the merits.<\/p>\n<p>If found guilty, the entrepreneur faces up to <strong>8 years<\/strong> in prison, along with disqualification from holding certain positions or engaging in certain activities for up to <strong>3 years<\/strong>.
