The last alert sounded overnight into <strong>October 27<\/strong>, at approximately <strong>02:00<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>A possible explanation for this pause is the ceasefire in <strong>Oleshky<\/strong>. <strong>Melania Trump<\/strong>, wife of <strong>U.S.<\/strong> President <strong>Donald Trump<\/strong>, said the ceasefire had been extended to other areas as well.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Oleshky<\/strong> is located in the <strong>Kherson region<\/strong>, on the left bank of the <strong>Dnipro River<\/strong>. The city has remained under Russian occupation since the first days of the full-scale invasion in <strong>February 2022<\/strong>. Authorities have reported that residents are facing shortages of food, medicine, and clean water.<\/p>\n<p>The sides agreed to a temporary ceasefire to deliver humanitarian aid and prepare for the safe departure of civilians who wish to leave the city. It came into effect on <strong>October 27<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ukraine<\/strong> declared a ceasefire in a designated area to allow a humanitarian operation to take place. The Russian side also announced a ceasefire.
