The man was detained and notified of suspicion of illegally acquiring and possessing drugs in especially large quantities without intent to sell.<\/p>\n<p>A court-authorized search of the suspect\u2019s home was conducted based on intelligence received. The operation involved:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>investigators from the <strong>Investigative Department of the Regional Police Headquarters<\/strong>, who conducted the search;<\/li>\n<li>officers from the <strong>Criminal Investigation Department<\/strong>, who provided operational support;<\/li>\n<li>special forces officers from the <strong>Special Police Company<\/strong>, who provided tactical support.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The <strong>Mykolaiv Specialized Prosecutor\u2019s Office for the Southern Region in the Field of Defence<\/strong> is overseeing the proceedings.<\/p>\n<p>Police detained the man under <strong>Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine<\/strong>. Under the procedural supervision of the prosecutor\u2019s office, investigators notified him of suspicion under <strong>Part 3 of Article 309 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine<\/strong>\u2014the illegal acquisition and possession of narcotic drugs in especially large quantities without intent to sell. He faces up to <strong>eight years<\/strong> in prison.<\/p>\n<p>The court ordered the suspect held in custody, with the option of posting bail.
