The law will come into force on <strong>October 31<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The original text gives <strong>January 29, 2026<\/strong> as the end date of the extension. However, this date falls before the October vote, so the year in which the extension ends needs to be clarified.<\/p>\n<p>Support in parliament for the <strong>two<\/strong> resolutions differed:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>293 MPs<\/strong> voted to extend martial law, while <strong>1<\/strong> voted against.<\/li>\n<li><strong>251 MPs<\/strong> supported extending general mobilization, <strong>1<\/strong> voted against, and another <strong>1<\/strong> abstained.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Since the start of <strong>Russia\u2019s<\/strong> full-scale invasion, this has been the <strong>21st<\/strong> such vote.<\/p>\n<p>President of <strong>Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy<\/strong> also signed the laws extending martial law and general mobilization.
