This is made possible by the planned increase in the subsistence minimum for people unable to work, which determines the maximum amount of this supplement. According to <a href=\"https:\/\/pfu.gov.ua\/2159318-u-yakyh-vypadkah-doplata-za-ponadnormovyj-stazh-zalezhyt-vid-velychyny-prozhytkovogo-minimumu\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">pfu.gov.ua<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>A draft state budget for next year published on the <strong>Verkhovna Rada<\/strong> website proposes setting the subsistence minimum at <strong>2,878 hryvnias<\/strong>. If approved, the maximum monthly supplement for each full year of service beyond the required period will be <strong>28.78 hryvnias<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>You can view the draft budget on the parliament\u2019s official website: https:\/\/itd.rada.gov.ua\/billinfo\/Bills\/Card\/<strong>70773<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>According to the <strong>Pension Fund of Ukraine<\/strong>, a pension is increased by <strong>1%<\/strong> of its amount for each full year of insurance service beyond the established threshold. However, the supplement for each such year cannot exceed <strong>1%<\/strong> of the subsistence minimum for people unable to work.<\/p>\n<p>The threshold after which service is considered to be beyond the required period depends on the date a person retired:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>For those who retired after <strong>October 1, 2011<\/strong> \u2014 more than <strong>35 years<\/strong> of service for men and more than <strong>30 years<\/strong> for women.<\/li>\n<li>For those who retired before that date \u2014 more than <strong>25 years<\/strong> for men and more than <strong>20 years<\/strong> for women.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In <strong>2026<\/strong>, the subsistence minimum for people unable to work is <strong>2,595 hryvnias<\/strong>. Therefore, the current maximum supplement for each full year of service beyond the required period is <strong>25.95 hryvnias per month<\/strong>. If a pension exceeds the subsistence minimum, that minimum\u2014not the pension amount\u2014is used to calculate the supplement.<\/p>\n<p>For example, a woman with a pension of <strong>4,000 hryvnias<\/strong> and a total of <strong>40 years<\/strong> of insurance service, against a threshold of <strong>30 years<\/strong>, has <strong>10 years<\/strong> of service beyond the required period. Calculated using the current subsistence minimum, her monthly supplement is <strong>259.50 hryvnias<\/strong>. If the proposed increase is approved, under the same conditions she could receive a monthly supplement of up to <strong>287.80 hryvnias<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The actual payment amount depends on the pension and the calculation rules applied to each individual.
