Thanks to his help, the children were safe before firefighters arrived.<\/p>\n<p>The man learned about the fire by phone from a friend with the <strong>State Emergency Service<\/strong>. His friend said that a house nearby was burning, with children still inside. <strong>Oleh<\/strong> rushed to help: he forced open the locked door and reached the children.<\/p>\n<p>All this time, <strong>Tymofii<\/strong> and <strong>Albina<\/strong> were in danger. An operator at the operational communications unit of the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/t.me\/dsns_mykolaiv\/21678\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">State Emergency Service in the Mykolaiv region<\/a><\/strong> spoke to them by phone. She calmed the children and stayed with them, helping them wait for rescue.<\/p>\n<p>This was not the first time <strong>Oleh Nastiushenko<\/strong> had helped rescuers: he had previously taken part in fighting fires.
