Russian dictator\u2019s aide <strong>Yuri Ushakov<\/strong> stated this position. At the same time, <strong>Moscow<\/strong> does not expect the upcoming meeting to produce significant results right away.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"quote-light\"><p>&#8220;The upcoming <strong>Russia \u2014 US \u2014 Ukraine<\/strong> meeting will be preliminary. Expectations should not be high,&#8221; said <strong>Yuri Ushakov<\/strong>.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>According to him, the participants still have a great deal of work to do to reach a peace agreement and end the war in <strong>Ukraine<\/strong>. The <strong>Kremlin<\/strong> representative also believes that discussions on a settlement should not be limited to dialogue with <strong>Kyiv<\/strong> and <strong>Washington<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking about the concessions <strong>Russia<\/strong> expects from <strong>Ukraine<\/strong>, <strong>Ushakov<\/strong> referred to the talks following the meeting in <strong>Anchorage<\/strong>, <strong>Alaska<\/strong>. He claims that at the time <strong>Moscow<\/strong> had the impression that the US administration could influence <strong>Kyiv<\/strong> and secure compliance with its demands. He explained the lack of the expected outcome as follows:<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"quote-light\"><p>&#8220;So far, that has not really worked out. Because it is not enough to talk only with <strong>Kyiv<\/strong>; you have to talk with all of <strong>Europe<\/strong>, which fully supports <strong>Kyiv<\/strong>,&#8221; said <strong>Putin\u2019s aide Yuri Ushakov<\/strong>.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>These statements reflect <strong>Moscow<\/strong>\u2019s position.
