When the victim managed to break free and leave the premises, the customer took his documents, mobile phone and money. According to police, a <strong>33-year-old<\/strong> local resident was tracked down and detained within an <strong>hour<\/strong> of the crime being reported.<\/p>\n<p>An employee of the food establishment contacted the <strong>Mykolaiv District Police Department<\/strong> at around <strong>10:00 p.m.<\/strong> Police found out that a customer had asked him to make coffee, but the employee explained that the working day was already over. In response, the man put a knife to his throat. The victim managed to break free, and the customer took advantage of his absence to steal his belongings and flee.<\/p>\n<p>The identity and whereabouts of the suspected offender were established during initial investigative and operational search measures. Specialists from the <strong>regional police department\u2019s criminal analysis unit<\/strong> also took part in the effort. The man was found on a city street and detained under <strong>Article 208<\/strong> of the <strong>Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>During the detention, police recovered the victim\u2019s property. It will be returned to its owner after the necessary investigative procedures.<\/p>\n<p>Under the procedural guidance of the prosecutor\u2019s office, investigators notified the detainee that he was suspected of offences under <strong>three<\/strong> articles of the <strong>Criminal Code of Ukraine<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Part 1 of Article 129<\/strong> \u2014 threat to kill.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Part 4 of Article 185<\/strong> \u2014 theft committed under martial law.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Part 3 of Article 357<\/strong> \u2014 unlawful appropriation of documents.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The court ordered the suspect to be held in custody as a preventive measure. He faces up to <strong>eight years<\/strong> in prison.
