Most of those released had been held captive since <strong>2022<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Five Ukrainians<\/strong> who had been presumed dead in the Russian terrorist attack in <strong>Olenivka<\/strong> in <strong>July 2022<\/strong> also returned home. President of <strong>Ukraine<\/strong> <strong>Volodymyr Zelenskyy<\/strong> specifically highlighted their return.<\/p>\n<p>The released service members include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>National Guard members, including <strong>Azov<\/strong> fighters;<\/li>\n<li>border guards;<\/li>\n<li>territorial defense members;<\/li>\n<li>service members of the <strong>Navy<\/strong>;<\/li>\n<li>members of the <strong>Ground Forces<\/strong>;<\/li>\n<li>service members of the <strong>Air Assault Forces<\/strong>;<\/li>\n<li>members of the <strong>State Special Transport Service<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Most of those who returned had defended <strong>Mariupol<\/strong>. The released service members had also fought on the following fronts:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Donetsk<\/strong>;<\/li>\n<li><strong>Luhansk<\/strong>;<\/li>\n<li><strong>Kharkiv<\/strong>;<\/li>\n<li><strong>Zaporizhzhia<\/strong>;<\/li>\n<li><strong>Kherson<\/strong>;<\/li>\n<li><strong>Kyiv<\/strong>;<\/li>\n<li><strong>Mykolaiv<\/strong>;<\/li>\n<li><strong>Chernihiv<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>According to the president, many of the Ukrainians released had been unlawfully tried in <strong>Russia<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The president thanked everyone involved in organizing exchanges and helping bring Ukrainians home. He also recognized the role of Ukrainian service members who continue to fight for their country.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"quote-light\"><p>\u201cWe remember each and every one of them, and we
