The financial institution was damaged. Emergency Service personnel extinguished the fire and reported the arson to the police. According to law enforcement, a <strong>21-year-old<\/strong> local resident was involved in the crime and was detained nearby.<\/p>\n<p>The following officers arrived at the scene immediately:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>patrol police officers;<\/li>\n<li>an investigative team from <strong>Police Station No. 1 of the Mykolaiv District Police Department<\/strong>;<\/li>\n<li>operatives.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Investigators documented the damage to the bank premises. They collected fire debris and other physical evidence at the scene.<\/p>\n<p>During initial investigative and operational measures, law enforcement established the young Mykolaiv resident\u2019s involvement in the arson. Patrol officers found him near the scene of the crime. The man was detained under <strong>Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine<\/strong>, and his mobile phone was seized. All seized items and materials were sent for forensic examination.<\/p>\n<p>Under the procedural guidance of the <strong>Mykolaiv City District Prosecutor\u2019s Office<\/strong>, investigators notified the detainee that he was suspected of committing an offense under <strong>Part 2 of Article 194 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine<\/strong> \u2014 intentional damage to property by arson. The maximum penalty is up to <strong>10 years<\/strong> in prison.<\/p>\n<p>According to the police, the court imposed a preventive measure on the suspect: overnight house arrest.<\/p>\n<p>The pre-trial investigation is ongoing.
