October 20<\/strong>, in the village of Sofiivka, Bashtanka district<\/strong>, local resident Oleh Nastiushenko<\/strong> rescued two children<\/strong> from a house that caught fire.<\/p>\n

According to rescuers, they received a call about the fire from 9-year-old Tymofii<\/strong>. The boy said he was home alone with his 3-year-old sister Albina<\/strong>, and that a sofa in one<\/strong> of the rooms had caught fire.<\/p>\n

The nearest fire and rescue unit is more than 20 kilometers<\/strong> from the village, so there was no time to waste in getting the children help. Oleh Nastiushenko<\/strong>, who was nearby, immediately rushed to the burning house.<\/p>\n

The locked door prevented him from getting inside. The man broke it down and found the two children<\/strong> in the hallway. He carried them out into the fresh air and then took them to the village council, where medical staff examined the brother and sister.<\/p>\n

Help arrived in time: according to rescuers, the children are doing well. However, given their age, doctors admitted them for 24-hour<\/strong> observation. Medical staff need to make sure there is no threat to their lives or health.<\/p>\n

After the fire and rescue unit arrived, the fire was extinguished. It covered an area of 5 square meters<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
