Yesterday in Mykolaiv<\/strong>, two large poplar trees fell in the courtyard of a building at 54A 3rd Slobidska Street<\/strong> after heavy rain and wind. Photos show the trees falling onto parked cars. No one was injured.<\/p>\n

A city resident reported the incident on the Contact Center of the Mykolaiv City Council<\/strong> page. She said strong winds caused the trees to fall.<\/p>\n

Two more poplars remain nearby, and local residents say they are in a dangerous condition. The trees are severely tilted and pose a threat to passersby. Residents fear that another gust of wind or further bad weather could bring them down too, injuring people or causing other damage.<\/p>\n

Residents of the courtyard are urging the responsible city services and municipal companies to inspect the hazardous poplars as a matter of urgency. They are asking for the trees to be felled or pruned to prevent further incidents.<\/p>\n
