Reports following the attack mention fires, damaged buildings and cars, and widespread power outages.<\/p>\n<p>Around <strong>20,000 people<\/strong> in <strong>Leningrad Oblast<\/strong> were reportedly left without electricity. The region\u2019s governor, <strong>Alexander Drozdenko<\/strong>, said that <strong>135 drones<\/strong> had been shot down. Reports also mention damage to residential buildings and cars.<\/p>\n<p>The overnight attack also affected air travel: restrictions were imposed at <strong>Pulkovo<\/strong> Airport, and passengers were directed to shelters. Residents were also warned that mobile internet might be disrupted.<\/p>\n<p>According to preliminary information, an oil terminal caught fire in <strong>Saint Petersburg<\/strong> following the attack. Fires were also reported in the city\u2019s <strong>Nevsky<\/strong>, <strong>Krasnoselsky<\/strong>, <strong>Krasnogvardeysky<\/strong> and <strong>Moskovsky districts<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Ukrainian Telegram channels are circulating claims that several facilities may have been hit at once:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>an oil depot;<\/li>\n<li>an oil-loading terminal;<\/li>\n<li>a warehouse belonging to <strong>Ozon<\/strong>;<\/li>\n<li>a <strong>VKontakte<\/strong> data center;<\/li>\n<li>an electrical substation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Russian opposition channels have also reported that <strong>one<\/strong> of the drones allegedly struck a cable-stayed bridge in <strong>Saint Petersburg<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>On the night of <strong>October 17<\/strong> and the morning of the same day,
