Hungarian Prime Minister P\u00e9ter Magyar<\/strong> said Ukrainian grain could transit through his country on its way to Western Europe<\/strong>. He outlined his position in an interview with RTL<\/strong> after the EU<\/strong> summit in Brussels<\/strong>. According to eurointegration.com.ua<\/a>.<\/p>\n

According to the prime minister, three or four years ago<\/strong>, Ukrainian grain was already being transported under an established procedure. That procedure was later discontinued.<\/p>\n

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy<\/strong> had previously asked neighboring countries to facilitate the transit of grain. During a face-to-face conversation with P\u00e9ter Magyar<\/strong>, he also asked for help transporting corn by rail to Western Europe<\/strong>. The Hungarian prime minister explained that such cargo could be transported under seal.<\/p>\n

\u201cI said that if it is only transiting through the country, then, of course, there are no obstacles to that,\u201d said P\u00e9ter Magyar<\/strong>.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The leaders\u2019 face-to-face conversation took place on October 16<\/strong> on the sidelines of the EU<\/strong> summit in Brussels<\/strong>. It was their first official meeting<\/strong>: the talks were held without aides or delegation members.<\/p>\n

After the talks, P\u00e9ter Magyar<\/strong> said that both countries were interested in developing political and economic relations on a new basis.<\/p>\n

\u201cVery good,\u201d said Volodymyr Zelenskyy<\/strong>, describing his conversation with the Hungarian prime minister.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Hungary<\/strong> wants to restore trust in its relations with Ukraine<\/strong>. It hopes to achieve this through tangible results, mutual respect, and the protection of the rights of the Hungarian community in Zakarpattia<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Volodymyr Zelenskyy<\/strong> also spoke about active dialogue between the Ukrainian side and the new government of Hungary<\/strong>, and the possibility of constructively resetting bilateral relations.<\/p>\n

Andrii Sybiha<\/strong> also spoke about his first face-to-face meeting<\/strong> with the new Hungarian Foreign Minister, Anita Orb\u00e1n<\/strong>. He noted their willingness to listen to each<\/strong> other<\/strong> and to open a new chapter in relations between the countries together.<\/p>\n
