The victims were <strong>three men<\/strong> who visited different venues in the city. According to investigators, money was fraudulently withdrawn from their bank cards. The crimes may have taken place at strip clubs.<\/p>\n<p>The case files list the following losses:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>more than <strong>UAH 400,000<\/strong> was stolen from a <strong>36-year-old<\/strong> man;<\/li>\n<li>a <strong>37-year-old<\/strong> visitor lost more than <strong>UAH 2.3 million<\/strong>;<\/li>\n<li><strong>UAH 367,000<\/strong> was withdrawn from the account of a <strong>40-year-old<\/strong> man.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Yesterday, investigators and police officers conducted <strong>17<\/strong> authorized searches. They took place:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>at <strong>three<\/strong> nightclubs in <strong>Lviv<\/strong>;<\/li>\n<li>in <strong>four<\/strong> cars;<\/li>\n<li>at the homes of people connected to the venues where the crimes were allegedly committed.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The operation involved:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>officers from the <strong>Lviv District Police Department No. 1<\/strong>;<\/li>\n<li>officers from the <strong>Criminal Investigation Department of the Lviv Region Police<\/strong>;<\/li>\n<li>special police units.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>During the searches, police seized computers and other digital equipment, documents, handwritten notes, and other materials. These may indicate the suspects\u2019 involvement in unlawful activity.<\/p>\n<p>Criminal proceedings have been opened under <strong>Part 4 of Article 185 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine<\/strong> \u2014 theft, and <strong>Parts 3 and 5 of Article 190 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine<\/strong> \u2014 fraud. The maximum penalty under these articles is up to <strong>12 years<\/strong> in prison, with confiscation of property.<\/p>\n<p>The pre-trial investigation is ongoing.
