This morning, <strong>October 16<\/strong>, the temperature on <strong>Mount Pip Ivan Chornohirskyi<\/strong> dropped to <strong>-5\u00b0C<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>As of <strong>8:45 a.m.<\/strong> this <strong>Friday<\/strong>, the summit was shrouded in clouds, and northerly winds were blowing at <strong>12 meters per second<\/strong>. The bad weather significantly reduced visibility in the highlands.<\/p>\n<p>In such conditions, hikers can quickly lose their bearings. The risk of hypothermia also increases significantly.<\/p>\n<p>Hikes are especially dangerous for tourists who:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>lack sufficient experience in the mountains;<\/li>\n<li>set out without warm clothing and the necessary equipment;<\/li>\n<li>do not register their route in advance.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<blockquote class=\"quote-light\">\n<p>\u201cWe urge tourists not to risk their lives and health, to refrain from hiking during bad weather, and to closely monitor weather reports,\u201d mountain rescuers from <strong>Prykarpattia<\/strong> appealed to hikers.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><strong>Mount Pip Ivan Chornohirskyi<\/strong> is one of the highest peaks in the <strong>Ukrainian Carpathians<\/strong>. Because of its considerable elevation, the weather here can differ sharply from conditions in settlements at the foot of the mountain.
