Compared with the previous week, the number of people who fell ill increased by <strong>15.8%<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Children accounted for the largest share of cases: <strong>2,575<\/strong> minors and <strong>960<\/strong> adults fell ill. In <strong>Mykolaiv<\/strong> itself, <strong>1,706<\/strong> ARVI cases were reported during the week, compared with <strong>1,492<\/strong> the week before.<\/p>\n<p>Despite the increase in cases, the region\u2019s epidemic threshold has not been exceeded. The incidence rate remains <strong>32.4%<\/strong> below the threshold. A total of <strong>53<\/strong> patients with influenza and ARVI were admitted to hospitals. No deaths were reported.<\/p>\n<p>Laboratory testing for influenza and ARVI was conducted on <strong>20<\/strong> samples.
