An enemy Shahed<\/strong>-type attack drone was destroyed with a heavy machine gun by Viktor<\/strong>, a member of a mobile fire group from the 137th Security Battalion<\/strong>. The incident occurred in Mykolaiv Oblast<\/strong> on the night of October 9, 2026<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

For the defender, Mykolaiv Oblast<\/strong> is home. His combat experience began long before he joined his current unit: in 2014\u20132015<\/strong>, he took part in the Anti-Terrorist Operation<\/strong> in eastern Ukraine<\/strong>. The serviceman joined the 137th Security Battalion<\/strong> in 2024<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

He described how he prepares to engage real targets:<\/p>\n

\u201cWe train constantly, work with our weapons, conduct live-fire exercises, and practice on simulators. When a real target appears, you already know what to do and how to do it. So every interception like this is the result of our training and teamwork,\u201d said Viktor<\/strong> (translated into Ukrainian).<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
