This follows a disciplinary hearing held on <strong>October 7<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"quote-light\">\n<p>\u201cNo one has yet fully grasped the consequences of the fact that, in <strong>Nova Odesa<\/strong>, following the decisions of the <strong>High Council of Justice (HCJ)<\/strong>, not a single judge remains\u2014let me stress, not a <strong>single<\/strong> one\u2014with the authority to administer justice,\u201d Mykolaiv lawyer <strong>Volodymyr Tymoshyn<\/strong> wrote on his <strong>Facebook<\/strong> page.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The <strong>Third Disciplinary Chamber of the High Council of Justice (HCJ)<\/strong> reviewed the disciplinary cases against the judges. The outcomes were as follows:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Regarding <strong>Valeriia Barankevych<\/strong>, the chamber decided to impose a disciplinary sanction in the form of a motion to dismiss her from office.<\/li>\n<li>Regarding <strong>Serhii Serhiienko<\/strong>, a similar decision was made: a motion to dismiss him from office as a disciplinary sanction.<\/li>\n<li>The <strong>HCJ<\/strong> decided to temporarily suspend <strong>Vasyl Kychula<\/strong> from administering justice for <strong>three months<\/strong>. He was also ordered to complete a professional development course at the <strong>National School of Judges of Ukraine<\/strong>, after which he will undergo a qualification assessment.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The motions to dismiss do not mean that these <strong>two<\/strong> judges have already been finally removed from office. The law provides for automatic temporary suspension from administering justice when this disciplinary sanction is imposed.
