The completed work makes it possible to adjust heating based on the weather and reduce heating costs.<\/p>\n<p>The following work was carried out in the buildings:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>individual heating substations were installed;<\/li>\n<li>heating pipes were replaced and insulated;<\/li>\n<li>balancing valves were installed.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Thanks to the modernization and weather-based system controls, heating costs are expected to fall by an average of <strong>30%<\/strong>. This is a projected economic benefit, not savings that have already been confirmed.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Kateryna Srebniuk<\/strong>, the head of <strong>one<\/strong> of the condominiums, said that before the upgrades, the building\u2019s heating system was in poor condition because it used salty water. This resulted in frequent breakdowns and additional repair costs.<\/p>\n<p>She said the terms of <strong>Enerhodim<\/strong> and the municipal program made it possible to fund the modernization of her building as follows:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>60%<\/strong> \u2014 a grant from the <strong>Energy Efficiency Fund<\/strong>;<\/li>\n<li><strong>20%<\/strong> \u2014 compensation from the municipal budget under the <strong>\u201cReform and Development of Housing and Communal Services in Mykolaiv\u201d<\/strong> program;<\/li>\n<li><strong>20%<\/strong> \u2014 the residents\u2019 actual contribution.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<blockquote class=\"quote-light\">\n<p>\u201cIt should also be noted that the <strong>Revolving Fund<\/strong> program run by the <strong>Energy Efficient Cities of Ukraine<\/strong> association proved to be a real find and a source of financial support for us. This successful combination of programs produced the best possible result.
