The claim concerns delays in repairing a sidewalk in the <strong>Central District of the city<\/strong>: the work was not completed by the deadline set out in the contract.<\/p>\n<p>The contractor initiated the signing of amendments that extended the deadline for completing the work by <strong>five months<\/strong>. The prosecutor\u2019s office believes there were no legal grounds for this extension.<\/p>\n<p>The repair was commissioned by a local government body. Despite the delay, it did not impose the contractual penalties on the contractor. To protect the interests of the local community, the prosecutor\u2019s office decided to seek recovery of those penalties through the courts.<\/p>\n<p>The court has already opened proceedings in the case.
