The Ukrainian authorities have expressed condolences to the families and loved ones of those whose lives were taken in the strike.<\/p>\n<p><strong>One<\/strong> of the most tragic events was a Russian missile hitting a <strong>five-story<\/strong> residential building in <strong>Pryluky, Chernihiv Oblast<\/strong>. By morning, the death toll there had risen to <strong>22 people<\/strong>, including <strong>five children<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Rescuers managed to save <strong>15 people<\/strong>, including <strong>one child<\/strong>. Search and rescue operations continued throughout the night and are still underway today.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine<\/strong> initially reported <strong>28 deaths<\/strong> resulting from the strikes. After the morning update on the situation in Pryluky, the overall death toll increased. <strong>54 people<\/strong> were injured, including <strong>seven children<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>People were also killed in other cities. The damage there was as follows:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>In <strong>Kyiv<\/strong>, residential and non-residential buildings, warehouses, and vehicles were damaged.<\/li>\n<li>In <strong>Kremenchuk<\/strong>, Russian strikes damaged <strong>several<\/strong> high-rise apartment buildings.<\/li>\n<li>In <strong>Oleksandriia<\/strong>, critical infrastructure was hit.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The Russian army combined a missile barrage with an attack by combat drones. President <strong>Volodymyr Zelenskyy<\/strong> said the attack affected <strong>13 regions<\/strong> and that <strong>Russia<\/strong> used <strong>around 70 missiles<\/strong>, including ballistic missiles, as well as combat drones. Ukraine\u2019s air defense forces reported destroying <strong>44 missiles<\/strong> and <strong>117 drones<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The President also identified <strong>Ukraine\u2019s<\/strong> energy infrastructure as <strong>one<\/strong> of the targets of Russian strikes. He said the attacks continued yesterday afternoon, with drones and aerial bombs.<\/p>\n<p>On this day of mourning, the country honors the memory of all those killed. A statement from the <strong>Ministry of Internal Affairs<\/strong> said:<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"quote-light\"><p>\u201c<strong>Russia<\/strong> has once again taken what is most precious.
