6 October<\/strong> in the history of Mykolaiv<\/strong> combined sport, changes in power, life in the Korabelnyi district, a COVID anti-record and wartime events. And one well-known shipbuilding date that is often tied to this day, after checking, turned out to be a date in the old style.<\/p>\n

6 October 2014<\/strong>: with Usyk participating they unveiled a plaque to a legend of Mykolaiv boxing<\/h2>\n

In Mykolaiv<\/strong> at the then Pravdy Street, 2-B<\/strong>, a memorial plaque was unveiled to the founder of the Mykolaiv boxing school, Oleh Hryhoriev<\/strong>. Oleksandr Usyk<\/strong> came to the ceremony; shortly before that he had won the WBO Inter-Continental title. Oleh Hryhoriev<\/strong> worked at the youth sports school (DYuSSh) for about 40 years<\/strong>, and among his trainees were dozens of winners and prize-winners of major competitions.<\/p>\n

6 October 2016<\/strong>: a new head of the Mykolaiv Regional State Administration was introduced<\/h2>\n

On this day in Mykolaiv<\/strong> they introduced<\/a> the new head of the Mykolaiv Regional State Administration, Oleksiy Savchenko<\/strong>. Among his first stated tasks were fighting corruption, creating a regional defense movement and a council of public organizations.<\/p>\n

6 October 2017<\/strong>: “Nika-Tera” reported over 70<\/strong> benches in the Korabelnyi district<\/h2>\n

The port “Nika-Tera” summed up<\/a> its landscaping work in the Korabelnyi district: by that time the port workers, on their own and together with partners, had manufactured and installed more than 70 benches<\/strong> on Bohoyavlenskyi Avenue, in parks and near medical facilities. In the “White Acacia” park the company had also earlier launched free Wi-Fi.<\/p>\n

6 October 2020<\/strong>: a COVID anti-record was recorded in Mykolaiv<\/strong><\/h2>\n

As of the morning of 6 October 2020<\/strong>, 222 new cases of COVID-19<\/strong><\/a> were detected in the Mykolaiv region, of which immediately 177<\/strong> were in Mykolaiv<\/strong>. At that time this was the city’s anti-record since the start of the pandemic. During the day 6 people<\/strong> also died in the region.<\/p>\n

6 October 2022<\/strong>: Iranian drones were shot down over the Mykolaiv region in two waves<\/h2>\n

On the night of 6 October 2022<\/strong> air defence forces destroyed over the Mykolaiv region 7<\/strong> out of 9<\/strong> kamikaze drones “Shahed-136” shot down in the south. And already in the morning, on the approach from the sea to the region, air defence shot down another 2 “Shahed-136”<\/strong> and 1 “Mohajer-6”<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

6 October 1975<\/strong> in Kyiv<\/strong> football club “Dynamo” defeated<\/a> Munich’s “Bayern” with a score of 2:0<\/strong> and won the UEFA Super Cup with an aggregate score of 3:0<\/strong>; both goals in the return match were scored by Oleh Blokhin<\/strong>. And on 6 October 1973<\/strong> the Yom Kippur War began<\/a>: the armies of Egypt and Syria attacked Israel on the Sinai Peninsula and the Golan Heights.<\/p>\n
