It combines military support and energy financing to prepare for winter. The package was announced today, <strong>4 October<\/strong>, at a joint press conference in <strong>Kyiv<\/strong> by the President of Ukraine <strong>Volodymyr Zelensky<\/strong> and German Chancellor <strong>Friedrich Merz<\/strong>. According to <a href=\"https:\/\/unian.ua\/world\/nimechchina-nadaye-ukrajini-1-3-mlrd-yevro-dopomogi-na-shcho-pidut-koshti-13518378.html\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">UNIAN<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>One<\/strong> of the directions will be the production of new interceptors against Russian rocket-powered drones. As <strong>Volodymyr Zelensky<\/strong> explained, the German aid is intended to ensure the manufacture in Ukraine of <strong>2,000<\/strong> interceptors \u00ab<strong>Bars<\/strong>\u00bb.<\/p>\n<p>For energy needs Germany is separately allocating around <strong>\u20ac350 million<\/strong>. To prepare Ukraine for the winter period these funds will go, in particular, to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>generators;<\/li>\n<li>transformer substations;<\/li>\n<li>repair kits.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Friedrich Merz<\/strong> also named the military and technical equipment that Germany will supply to Ukraine:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>long-range weapons;<\/li>\n<li>combat drones;<\/li>\n<li>satellite equipment.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Currently there are <strong>15 agreements and documents<\/strong> between Ukraine and Germany covering security cooperation, production, procurement and joint projects. The total value of these arrangements amounts to more than <strong>\u20ac8.5 billion<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Germany also plans to use Ukrainian experience in countering Russian hybrid attacks.
