He was <strong>87 years old<\/strong>. His death was announced by TV presenter <strong>Andrey Malakhov<\/strong>, and later this information was confirmed by Kashpirovsky\u2019s director.<\/p>\n<p>According to available information, Kashpirovsky died at home. The cause of death is reported as acute heart failure. Relatives called emergency services, but they were unable to save him.<\/p>\n<p>Kashpirovsky gained his greatest popularity from televised psychotherapy sessions in the late <strong>1980s<\/strong>. From <strong>October 1989<\/strong> <strong>Central Television of the USSR<\/strong> broadcast the program <strong>&#8220;Health Sessions of Psychotherapist Anatoly Kashpirovsky&#8221;<\/strong>. Its audience numbered millions of viewers.<\/p>\n<p>The tele-bridges <strong>Kyiv \u2014 Moscow<\/strong> and <strong>Kyiv \u2014 Tbilisi<\/strong> were particularly sensational. In these broadcasts Kashpirovsky claimed that he could remotely anesthetize patients during surgical operations. Representatives of the scientific and medical communities criticized his methods of remote influence.<\/p>\n<p>Kashpirovsky was born on <strong>11 August 1939<\/strong> in the village of <strong>Stavnytsia<\/strong> in the <strong>Khmelnytskyi region<\/strong>. He received a diploma from the <strong>Vinnytsia Medical Institute<\/strong> in <strong>1962<\/strong>, after which he worked for about <strong>25 years<\/strong> in a psychiatric hospital.<\/p>\n<p>There was also a political period in his biography: from <strong>1993 to 1995<\/strong> he was a deputy of the <strong>State Duma of Russia<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>In recent years Kashpirovsky continued public activities on the internet. Since the COVID-19 pandemic period he held live streams and so-called remote healing sessions on <strong>YouTube<\/strong>.
