This issue was raised by the head of the <strong>Office of the President of Ukraine Kyrylo Budanov<\/strong> at a meeting dedicated to identifying fallen Ukrainian soldiers. According to the <a href=\"https:\/\/president.gov.ua\/news\/v-ofisi-prezidenta-vidbulasya-narada-shodo-problem-yaki-povy-106701\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>President of Ukraine<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The meeting took place in the <strong>Office of the President<\/strong> on <strong>October 2<\/strong>, Friday. Identification issues were considered by the <strong>Coordination Council on the Protection of the Rights of War Veterans and Members of Their Families, Families of Deceased Defenders of Ukraine, Prisoners and Missing Persons<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Participants of the meeting outlined obstacles and proposed changes:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Prime Minister <strong>Serhii Koretskyi<\/strong> noted that by <strong>mid-October<\/strong> all necessary regulatory legal acts should be adopted. Their goal is to accelerate forensic medical examinations in the regions and improve this work.<\/li>\n<li>The Commissioner of the <strong>Verkhovna Rada<\/strong> for Human Rights, <strong>Dmytro Lubinets<\/strong>, emphasized that difficulties conducting <strong>DNA examinations<\/strong> complicate the identification of the deceased.<\/li>\n<li>Secretary of the <strong>National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Ihor Klymenko<\/strong> proposed creating an interagency working group under the <strong>NSDC<\/strong> to oversee issues of identifying bodies of the deceased. It should include teams that will work in the regions. Another of his proposals is separate forensic medical examination bureaus that will handle body identification.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Ombudsman <strong>Dmytro Lubinets<\/strong> also drew attention to violations in certain institutions:<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"quote-light\">\n<p>\u201cIn some cases, forensic medical examination bureaus stored bodies improperly, violated sanitary norms and did not involve forensic criminalists in the analysis.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Summing up the discussion, <strong>Kyrylo Budanov<\/strong> said:<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"quote-light\">\n<p>\u201cWe have formed a concrete algorithm of actions.
