And for the Korabelnyi District<\/strong> this date also recalls the pandemic and the scale of the consequences of Russian aggression for adults and children.<\/p>\n

3 October 1803<\/strong>: the first coat of arms of Mykolaiv<\/strong> was approved<\/h2>\n

The first coat of arms of Mykolaiv<\/strong> was approved<\/a> by Emperor Alexander I on 3 October 1803<\/strong>. It depicted a golden cross above a silver censer, a bishop’s mitre and staff. The date in the documents of the Russian Empire is given according to the Julian calendar: 3 October 1803<\/strong> old style corresponds to 15 October 1803<\/strong> in the modern Gregorian calendar.<\/p>\n

3 October 1932<\/strong>: the M-1 submarine was laid down in Mykolaiv<\/strong><\/h2>\n

At the Mykolaiv A. Marti Plant No.198<\/strong> the small submarine M-1 of Series VI, type “Malyutka”, with factory number 237<\/strong> was laid down. It was launched on 9 April 1933<\/strong>, then moved to Vladivostok<\/strong> for completion, and on 26 April 1934<\/strong> the submarine entered service.<\/p>\n

3 October 2014<\/strong>: an Alley of Memory for Maksym Oleksandrovych Aldoshyn<\/strong> was opened in Mykolaiv<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Near the Mykolaiv Polytechnic College at Nikolska Street, 11<\/strong>, an Alley of Glory<\/a> was opened and a memorial plaque was installed for the college graduate Maksym Oleksandrovych Aldoshyn<\/strong>. The serviceman died of severe wounds on 7 August 2014<\/strong> and was posthumously awarded the Order “For Courage”, 3rd class. In his memory, a guelder-rose (kalyna) and an oak alley were planted near the college.<\/p>\n

3 October 2014<\/strong>: the “NARP” plant celebrated 75 years<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The Mykolaiv Aircraft Repair Plant “NARP” celebrated<\/a> its 75th anniversary<\/strong>. The plant hosted an exhibition of aviation equipment where guests could board aircraft and visit cockpits. The anniversary brought together the plant\u2019s employees and representatives of city and regional authorities.<\/p>\n

3 October 2020<\/strong>: almost the entire School No.33<\/strong> in Korabelnyi was sent into self-isolation<\/h2>\n

The COVID-19 pandemic in the autumn of 2020<\/strong> seriously affected educational institutions in the Korabelnyi District of Mykolaiv<\/strong>. After the coronavirus was confirmed in a teacher at School No.33<\/strong> who taught in grades 5\u201311<\/strong>, almost the entire institution, except for the younger classes, was sent<\/a> into self-isolation. At that time, 13 classes<\/strong> in 4 schools<\/strong> and 1 kindergarten group<\/strong> in the district were on self-isolation.<\/p>\n

3 October 2023<\/strong>: 16<\/strong> “Shahed” were destroyed over Mykolaiv region<\/h2>\n

On the night of 3 October 2023<\/strong>, air defense forces destroyed 16 strike UAVs<\/strong> of the “Shahed-136\/131” type over the Mykolaiv region. That same morning at 04:02<\/strong> Russian forces shelled with artillery the waters of the Kutsurub community. According to official information, there were no casualties.<\/p>\n

3 October 2025<\/strong>: 1,175 applications<\/strong> for damaged housing and 2,991 affected children<\/strong> in Korabelnyi<\/h2>\n

As of 3 October 2025<\/strong>, residents of the Korabelnyi District of Mykolaiv<\/strong> have submitted<\/a> 1,175 applications<\/strong> for compensation for housing damaged as a result of Russian aggression: 1,015 appeals<\/strong> have been processed concerning 459 houses<\/strong> and 556 apartments<\/strong>. Another telling figure for this date: the official status of a child affected by hostilities and armed conflicts in the district has already been granted<\/a> to 2,991 children<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
