In a multimarket in Mykolaiv<\/strong> a man grabbed a pack of coffee and ran out of the store without paying. According to the police, he ignored an employee’s demand to return the item or pay for it.<\/p>\n

The store manager reported the incident on 28 September<\/strong>. Police found that the customer took the coffee from the shelf and hid it under his sweater, then headed for the exit. The employee’s remark did not stop him.<\/p>\n

With a description of the man, officers within several hours established who he was and where he was. He turned out to be a 40-year-old<\/strong> local resident.<\/p>\n

Investigators, under the procedural supervision of the District Prosecutor’s Office of Mykolaiv<\/strong>, notified the man of suspicion under part 4<\/strong> of article 186<\/strong> of the Criminal Code of Ukraine<\/strong> \u2014 robbery committed under martial law. The court imposed a preventive measure on him \u2014 house arrest.<\/p>\n

The alleged crime carries up to 10 years<\/strong> of imprisonment. The pre-trial investigation is ongoing.<\/p>\n
