At the same time, in <strong>Ukraine<\/strong> stocks of interceptor missiles for American <strong>Patriot<\/strong> systems are decreasing.<\/p>\n<p>Sabotage and other actions inside <strong>Ukraine<\/strong> could be a separate component of a possible assault on the country&#8217;s resilience. The publication states that Ukrainian counterintelligence foils roughly <strong>7\u20138<\/strong> Russian operations each week. According to sources, Russian special services try to recruit some potential perpetrators via messaging apps.<\/p>\n<p>In <strong>Kyiv<\/strong> there are also fears that previously established Russian agent networks may still be active in the country. They are capable of activating when their organizers deem it necessary.<\/p>\n<p>The threat, <strong>The Economist<\/strong> assesses, is not limited to the physical destruction of facilities. Everyday hardships can become a tool to increase discontent within the country. The publication lists factors that <strong>Russia<\/strong> could use to destabilize the situation:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>public fatigue with the war;<\/li>\n<li>corruption scandals;<\/li>\n<li>disruptions to basic services.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Bot farms and other information influence tools may be used to spread information on these topics. Their task, the publication notes, is to channel public discontent inward within <strong>Ukraine<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>At the same time, <strong>The Economist<\/strong> offers a more restrained assessment: <strong>Russia<\/strong> has been developing similar strategies for several years, but does not always achieve the desired result. Putting <strong>Kyiv<\/strong> out of action is now more difficult than in the <strong>early years<\/strong> of the full-scale war.<\/p>\n<p>The capital&#8217;s resilience is aided by the decentralization of internet infrastructure and the experience Ukrainian repair services have accumulated. Thanks to this, damaged facilities can be restored faster. So it matters not only how capable Russian forces are of inflicting damage, but also the speed of repairing the consequences of attacks.<\/p>\n<p>As <strong>The Economist<\/strong> summarizes, bombings alone are usually not enough to force a state to stop resisting.
