In Dnipro<\/strong> a court sentenced a 56-year-old<\/strong> local resident who, according to the prosecutor’s office, committed sexual violence against a 11-year-old<\/strong> ward and distributed materials containing child pornography on the Internet. The man was sentenced to 12 years of imprisonment<\/strong>. This was reported on 24 September<\/strong> 2026 by the Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine.<\/p>\n

According to the investigation, in July 2019<\/strong> the convicted man worked as a music director at a children’s camp. It was there that he repeatedly committed criminal acts<\/strong> against the 11-year-old<\/strong> charge. According to the prosecutor’s office, the man also video-recorded<\/strong> his criminal actions and then distributed the corresponding materials online. To conceal what he had done, he exerted psychological pressure and threats<\/strong> on the child. Because of this, the victim did not speak about the abuse for a long time. In December 2019<\/strong> law enforcement officers found one of the videos involving the child online. After that the man was exposed and detained.<\/p>\n

During the trial the defendant did not admit his guilt<\/strong>. At the same time, the court agreed with the prosecution’s arguments and imposed a sentence of 12 years of imprisonment<\/strong>. The verdict has already come into legal force.<\/p>\n
