In <strong>July<\/strong> the man delivered <strong>3 cars<\/strong> to the <strong>Mykolaiv district<\/strong>, handed them over to the buyer together with the keys and received <strong>$17,900<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>As established during the pre-trial investigation, the suspect knew about the humanitarian origin of the vehicles, but decided to profit from their sale. He sought buyers through advertisements on online platforms.<\/p>\n<p>He put the following vehicles up for sale:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Nissan X-Trail<\/strong>;<\/li>\n<li><strong>Nissan Navara<\/strong>;<\/li>\n<li><strong>Honda CR-V<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>While communicating with a potential buyer, the suspect agreed to sell all <strong>3 vehicles<\/strong> for the agreed sum. To conceal the origin of the cars and transport them, he involved acquaintances, whom he assured that he legally owned the vehicles.<\/p>\n<p>Immediately after handing over the vehicles, the keys and receiving the money, the man was detained in accordance with the procedure of <strong>Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine<\/strong>. The illegal activity was exposed this summer by investigators of <strong>Police Unit No. 4 of the Mykolaiv District Police Department<\/strong> with operational support from officers of the <strong>regional SBU directorate<\/strong> and the <strong>border guard service<\/strong>. Procedural supervision was provided by the <strong>Mykolaiv District Prosecutor&#8217;s Office<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Based on the collected evidence, the suspect was notified of suspicion of selling humanitarian aid goods for profit, committed in a significant amount during martial law. The actions were qualified under <strong>Part 3 of Article 201-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Investigators have now completed the pre-trial investigation and sent the indictment to the prosecutor&#8217;s office, which forwarded it to the court for substantive consideration.
