In the Lviv region<\/strong>, an indictment was sent to court against the former head of one of the district TCCs and SPs. Prosecutors accuse him of deliberately submitting false information to the declaration for 2024<\/strong> in the total amount of more than 4.5 million hryvnias<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The case was sent to court by prosecutors of the Lviv Specialized Prosecution in the field of defense of the Western region. The former official’s actions were qualified under Part 1 of Art. 366-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

According to the investigation, in the declaration the ex-official did not indicate his wife’s property rights to an apartment in an unfinished construction in Lviv<\/strong>. The area of the future dwelling is 40.8 sq. m<\/strong>, and its value is estimated at almost 2 million hryvnias<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Law enforcement raised specific questions about the couple’s declared cash savings. The investigation believes that the reported amounts significantly exceeded the money the family could have accumulated based on verified income.<\/p>\n

The former head of the TCC himself declared over 2.5 million hryvnias<\/strong> in cash. At the same time, according to law enforcement calculations, his verified income would have allowed him to accumulate no more than 684 thousand hryvnias<\/strong>. Thus, the difference exceeded 1.8 million hryvnias<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

These amounts match the data of Bohdan Ivanovych Semenyna<\/strong>‘s declaration for 2024<\/strong> in the NACP Declaration Register: it lists 2 553 000 hryvnias<\/strong> of his cash funds and $40,000<\/strong> in cash held by his wife. In the list of NACP check results, Bohdan Ivanovych Semenyna<\/strong> is indicated as the head of the Sambir RTsK and SP of the Lviv region<\/strong>; following the check of the declaration for 2024<\/strong>, the agency noted “inaccurate information established” and sent a reasoned conclusion under Art. 366-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine<\/strong>. At the same time, the prosecutor’s announcement did not name the accused.<\/p>\n

Regarding the wife’s savings, law enforcement reports $40,000<\/strong> and 376,000 hryvnias<\/strong> in cash. According to the investigation, the woman’s verified income would have allowed her to accumulate no more than 1.2 million hryvnias<\/strong>, and the established discrepancy amounted to 840.6 thousand hryvnias<\/strong>. These same circumstances were previously reported by the Office of the Prosecutor General and Suspilne.<\/p>\n

Overall, according to the investigation, the amount of inaccurate information in the declaration exceeds 4.5 million hryvnias<\/strong>. Earlier, at the stage of notifying about suspicion, law enforcement noted that the declaration had been checked by the National Agency on Corruption Prevention. Now the criminal proceedings have moved to the judicial stage: prosecutors have sent the indictment for substantive consideration.<\/p>\n

According to Art. 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine<\/strong>, a person is considered innocent until their guilt is proven in due legal process and established by a guilty verdict of the court.<\/p>\n
