The event was attended by the acting head of the <strong>Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration, Heorhii Reshetilov<\/strong>, and a delegation from the region.<\/p>\n<p>The delegation from the <strong>Mykolaiv region<\/strong> included:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>heads of territorial communities;<\/li>\n<li>representatives of the leadership of the <strong>Mykolaiv Regional Council<\/strong>;<\/li>\n<li>specialized experts from the <strong>Mykolaiv RMA<\/strong>;<\/li>\n<li>entrepreneurs from the region.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Mykola Marinov<\/strong>, deputy head of the <strong>Mykolaiv RMA<\/strong>, presented the region&#8217;s opportunities for business development and attracting investment. Among the main advantages of the region he listed:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>a favorable geographic location and an extensive transport network;<\/li>\n<li>access to the <strong>Black Sea<\/strong> and port infrastructure;<\/li>\n<li>industrial and tourism potential;<\/li>\n<li>opportunities for developing the blue economy and renewable energy.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Mykola Marinov<\/strong> emphasized that attracting partners should help the region&#8217;s recovery and its further economic development.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"quote-light\">\n<p>The Mykolaiv region has significant investment potential \u2014 from port and logistics infrastructure to renewable energy, industry and industrial parks. Our task is to present these opportunities to partners and to create conditions for attracting investments that will contribute to the recovery and further economic development of the region.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>A separate part of the presentation was devoted to the port sector. The <strong>Mykolaiv region<\/strong> is home to <strong>four<\/strong> seaports and <strong>one<\/strong> river port. Once they are unblocked, this should open up prospects for developing logistics, exporting products and expanding international trade.<\/p>\n<p>The promising areas of the blue economy in the region were identified as:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>fishing and aquaculture;<\/li>\n<li>maritime transport;<\/li>\n<li>ship repair and small-scale shipbuilding;<\/li>\n<li>coastal infrastructure;<\/li>\n<li>water tourism and recreation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In renewable energy, the focus is on developing solar and wind generation. Another area identified is industrial parks: some of them are already operating in the region, while several others are being registered. Their development should contribute to the emergence of new production facilities and jobs, as well as attract investment.<\/p>\n<p>Regional mechanisms are provided to support investors in the <strong>Mykolaiv region<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>financial assistance for the development and operation of industrial parks;<\/li>\n<li>reduced rates for land tax and property tax;<\/li>\n<li>reduction of land rental fees;<\/li>\n<li>partial compensation of interest rates on loans.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The presentation also outlined the main obstacles to investment activity.
