The organization of the educational process was changed after an adaptation period at the beginning of the new school year.<\/p>\n<p>The head of the <strong>Department of Education<\/strong>, <strong>Hanna Lychko<\/strong>, spoke about the work of city schools under martial law during a briefing. According to her, this school year has become more difficult than previous ones, and the format of institutions&#8217; work primarily depends on safety.<\/p>\n<p>Among the main challenges she named an increase in the number and duration of air-raid alerts, limited shelter capacity, and the risk of lesson interruptions.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"quote-light\">\n<p>In <strong>August<\/strong> some had about <strong>15<\/strong> alerts. And it became clear that the format used last school year no longer fits, \u2014 said <strong>Hanna Lychko<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Because of this, educators changed the format and the algorithm for organizing learning. The <strong>first week<\/strong> of the new school year was made adaptive.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"quote-light\">\n<p>The <strong>first week<\/strong> of the school year was adaptive. We were checking the capacities of the institutions, \u2014 noted the head of the department.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Specialists checked whether full lessons were being held, how effectively schools use shelter capacity, and how best to distribute students. If initial decisions required changes, they acted according to the following algorithm:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>assessed the situation;<\/li>\n<li>made decisions;<\/li>\n<li>organized the work;<\/li>\n<li>monitored the result.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>After monitoring, the ratio of learning formats changed noticeably. As of <strong>September 1<\/strong>, pedagogical councils agreed on in-person work for <strong>45<\/strong> schools, blended \u2014 for <strong>7<\/strong>, remote \u2014 for <strong>12<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>On <strong>September 14<\/strong> Mykolaiv schools operate in the following formats:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>in person \u2014 <strong>26 institutions<\/strong>;<\/li>\n<li>blended \u2014 <strong>26 institutions<\/strong>;<\/li>\n<li>remotely \u2014 <strong>12 institutions<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>For comparison, on <strong>September 7<\/strong> the in-person format was used by <strong>31 institutions<\/strong>, and blended \u2014 by <strong>21<\/strong>. The number of schools with remote learning did not change.<\/p>\n<p>Due to limited shelter capacity, some institutions switched to a special regime:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>among schools with in-person learning, <strong>6 institutions<\/strong> operate in <strong>two shifts<\/strong>;<\/li>\n<li>in the blended format, learning in <strong>two shifts<\/strong> was organized in <strong>14 institutions<\/strong>;<\/li>\n<li>in <strong>1 more institution<\/strong>, students study in a relief shift.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>On <strong>September 1<\/strong>, more than <strong>32.6 thousand students<\/strong> began studies.
