13 September<\/strong> in the history of Mykolaiv<\/strong> and the Korabelnyi District<\/strong> combined shipbuilding, City Day, district fairs, the fate of one of Mykolaiv’s largest enterprises, and an event that residents of Korabelnyi had waited for for decades. It was on this day in 2024<\/strong> that a test trolleybus ran through the district for the first time.<\/p>\n

13 September 1923<\/strong>: in Mykolaiv<\/strong> the steamship “Feodosia” was rebuilt<\/h2>\n

At the Mykolaiv shipbuilding plant the steamship “Feodosia” was restored; it had been blown up by Denikin’s forces in 1920<\/strong>. 13 September 2013<\/strong>: Korabelnyi celebrated Mykolaiv’s 224th anniversary<\/strong> with a cake 2.24 meters<\/strong> long<\/h2>\n

On the square near the business center “Metalurh Pivdnia” residents of the Korabelnyi District<\/strong> celebrated<\/a> Mykolaiv’s 224th anniversary<\/strong>. There were exhibitions of local craftsmen, children’s playgrounds and fair locations, performances by the district’s creative groups, and the symbol of the celebration was a cake 2 metres 24 centimetres<\/strong> long \u2013 corresponding to the city’s age. 13 September 2015<\/strong>: more than 20 entrepreneurs<\/strong> gathered at a fair in Korabelnyi<\/h2>\n

For Mykolaiv’s 226th birthday<\/strong> a district fair was held<\/a> on the square in front of “Metalurh Pivdnia”. More than 20 entrepreneurs<\/strong> from the Korabelnyi and the then Zhovtnevyi districts presented their products, and for children the Kulbakinsky House of Culture organized a contest-and-play program “Love your city”.<\/p>\n

13 September 2019<\/strong>: the Verkhovna Rada took the first step toward changing the status of “Zoria-Mashproekt”<\/h2>\n

In the first reading the Verkhovna Rada supported<\/a> bill No.1054-1<\/strong> on the cancellation of the list of state enterprises not subject to privatization. It was backed by 253 members of parliament<\/strong>. The Mykolaiv state enterprise “Zoria-Mashproekt” was included in that list, so the decision sparked discussion in the city about the future of the strategic enterprise. The vote itself did not yet mean the privatization of the plant.<\/p>\n

13 September 2024<\/strong>: a test trolleybus was seen in Korabelnyi for the first time<\/h2>\n

An event the district had awaited for more than 30 years<\/strong>: a test trolleybus ran<\/a> through the streets of the Korabelnyi District of Mykolaiv<\/strong>. Mayor Oleksandr Senkevych<\/strong> reported at the time that the city was testing a new route. For district residents this was a particularly noticeable event after decades of promises to bring electric transport here.<\/p>\n

13 September 2025<\/strong>: Mykolaiv<\/strong> celebrated 236 years<\/strong><\/h2>\n

On the City Day Mykolaiv<\/strong> celebrated<\/a> its 236th anniversary<\/strong>. Due to martial law large mass celebrations were not held; instead the city organized local cultural events, exhibitions and excursions. Mykolaiv residents were greeted by representatives of the city and regional authorities.<\/p>\n
