The morning in the hero city began with a moment of silence and a tribute to the defenders who defended its freedom. The ceremony was reported by the <strong>Mykolaiv City Council<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Near the temporary <strong>Alley of Glory<\/strong>, representatives of the authorities, foreign partners and city residents gathered:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>mayor <strong>Oleksandr Sienkevych<\/strong>;<\/li>\n<li>Member of Parliament <strong>Oleksandr Haidu<\/strong>;<\/li>\n<li>deputy mayors;<\/li>\n<li>secretary of the <strong>Mykolaiv City Council<\/strong>;<\/li>\n<li>head of the <strong>Mykolaiv Regional Council<\/strong> <strong>Anton Tabunshchyk<\/strong>;<\/li>\n<li>representatives of the <strong>Embassy of Denmark<\/strong> headed by <strong>Jakob Torrild Hansen<\/strong>;<\/li>\n<li>international partners;<\/li>\n<li>residents of <strong>Mykolaiv<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Those present honored the memory of the soldiers who, in the first days of the full-scale invasion, stopped the occupiers&#8217; advance and thwarted their plans, giving their lives for it.<\/p>\n<p>Participants in the ceremony emphasized:<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"quote-light\">\n<p>Our heroes made <strong>Mykolaiv<\/strong> an unshakable stronghold in the south. Their feat is our freedom and the ability to live, work and speak our native language on our own land.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Mykolaiv residents left flowers at the memorial as symbols of gratitude,
