The cost of the service is proposed to be increased from <strong>16.512<\/strong> hryvnias to <strong>41.256<\/strong> hryvnias per cubic meter including VAT.<\/p>\n<p>The municipal enterprise <strong>\u00abMykolaivvodokanal\u00bb<\/strong> reported the intention to review the tariff. The relevant document was published on the website of the <strong>Mykolaiv City Council<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The current tariff excluding VAT is <strong>13.76<\/strong> hryvnias per cubic meter. The enterprise proposes to set it at <strong>34.38<\/strong> hryvnias without tax, which forms the final price of <strong>41.256<\/strong> hryvnias for consumers.<\/p>\n<p>At <strong>\u00abMykolaivvodokanal\u00bb<\/strong> they explain that the current cost of the service was calculated based on <strong>2021<\/strong> indicators. Since then, according to the enterprise\u2019s calculations, major expenses have changed:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>electricity prices have increased by <strong>57.7%<\/strong>;<\/li>\n<li>the cost of fuel and lubricants has increased by <strong>2.18<\/strong> times;<\/li>\n<li>taxes and levies have increased by <strong>2.86<\/strong> times;<\/li>\n<li>expenses for network repairs, the subsistence minimum and employee wage rates have increased.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>According to the water utility, the current price covers only <strong>38.1%<\/strong> of the cost of sewerage. The enterprise estimates the full cost of the service at <strong>32.58<\/strong> hryvnias per cubic meter excluding VAT.<\/p>\n<p>Comments and proposals regarding the tariff change can be submitted by residents of <strong>Mykolaiv<\/strong> within <strong>seven calendar days<\/strong> from <strong>September 10<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier the director of the municipal enterprise <strong>\u00abMykolaivvodokanal\u00bb<\/strong>, <strong>Hennadiy Izyumov<\/strong>, stated that until the end of <strong>2026<\/strong> the water supply tariff for the population would not change. The former head of the <strong>Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration<\/strong>, <strong>Vitaliy Kim<\/strong>, also said that he would make efforts to prevent an increase in the tariff for centralized drinking water supply.<\/p>\n<p>The mayor of <strong>Mykolaiv<\/strong>, <strong>Oleksandr Sienkevych<\/strong>, explained that the city pays for water from the new water main by meter, and this may affect the future cost of the service. The water utility did not rule out that after the launch of the new treatment facilities the water tariff for Mykolaiv residents could reach <strong>100<\/strong> hryvnias per cubic meter. According to the mayor, the current price of water no longer covers the enterprise\u2019s operating expenses and does not allow it to operate fully and develop.<\/p>\n<div id='gallery-1'
