The family of a Ukrainian serviceman is looking to rent housing specifically in Mykolaiv<\/strong>. The serviceman’s wife told about the difficulties that arose during the apartment search.<\/p>\n

According to the woman, her husband has been defending Ukraine for over 10 years<\/strong>. The family lost their home in Mariupol<\/strong>, and the serviceman is currently defending Kharkiv region<\/strong>. Before that he carried out combat missions in the Mykolaiv region<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The author of the post also noted that her husband took part in successful operations behind the lines of the Russian occupiers, fought in the Kursk region<\/strong> and sustained injuries.<\/p>\n

Now, due to family circumstances, the family needs to rent an apartment in Mykolaiv<\/strong>. The woman emphasized that a relatively normal life in the city became possible in part thanks to the military, who at one time prevented the Russian invaders from occupying the regional center.<\/p>\n

In her post she left a link to the apartment rental listing<\/a> in the Korabelnyi district<\/strong> and stated that the person the family spoke to about the housing “shuns servicemen”.<\/p>\n

The listing is for a three-room apartment with an area of 63 m\u00b2<\/strong> on Olzhych Street. In the listing, published on August 27, 2026<\/strong>, the rent is listed as 7,300 UAH<\/strong>, the same amount for the deposit, and 3,800 UAH<\/strong> for realtor services. The text of the listing itself does not mention a refusal to rent the property to servicemen.<\/p>\n

The serviceman’s wife hopes that the city’s residents will support the defender and help the family find housing in Mykolaiv<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
