September 3<\/strong> on Korabeliv Avenue in Mykolaiv<\/strong> a man, according to investigators, struck an acquaintance in the face, took her mobile phone, forced her out of the car and drove off in her vehicle.<\/p>\n

The victim, a 38-year-old<\/strong>, contacted the police. Patrol officers, an investigative-operational team and staff of Police Station No. 3 of the Mykolaiv District Department<\/strong>, which serves the Korabelnyi district of the city, arrived at the scene.<\/p>\n

The woman described the attacker. Based on that description, law enforcement officers found him on one of Mykolaiv\u2019s streets in less than an hour<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The suspect turned out to be a 36-year-old Mykolaiv resident<\/strong> who had previously been held accountable for similar crimes. By that time he had already sold the stolen phone.<\/p>\n

The man was detained in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine<\/strong>. Under the procedural supervision of the District Prosecutor’s Office of the city of Mykolaiv<\/strong>, he was notified of suspicion under Part 4<\/strong> of Article 186 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine<\/strong> \u2014 robbery in conditions of martial law, combined with violence that is not dangerous to the health of the victim.<\/p>\n

This crime carries up to 10 years of imprisonment<\/strong>. The court remanded the suspect in custody without the possibility of bail.<\/p>\n

The police are also checking whether the detainee may be linked to other crimes. The pretrial investigation is ongoing.<\/p>\n
