In the Sviatoshynskyi district of Kyiv on September 3, 2026<\/strong>, an unknown man opened fire on the 71-year-old<\/strong> director of the capital’s reproductive clinic. The attacker fired more than 20 shots<\/strong>, after which he fled. The victim was hospitalized in serious condition.<\/p>\n

According to the Kyiv City Prosecutor’s Office<\/strong>, the attack occurred at about 10:00<\/strong>. It was preliminarily established that an armed man had been waiting on the street for the head of the private medical center. When the director parked his car and exited the vehicle, the attacker began shooting.<\/p>\n

The police clarified that the victim is the director of the capital’s reproductive clinic. After the shooting he was urgently taken to the hospital, where he remains in serious condition. Immediately after the report of the attack, a special police operation began in the capital. Personnel of the territorial and main directorates of Kyiv police were put on alert, and fighters from the KORD special unit were additionally involved in the search for the armed man.<\/p>\n

Law enforcement officers are examining the scene, collecting physical evidence, and establishing the route by which the attacker left the crime scene. In the photos published by the police from the scene of the shooting, numerous shell casings can be seen on the pavement. The Kyiv City Prosecutor’s Office announced the start of a pre-trial investigation into the attempted intentional murder of the director of the medical center. The motive for the attack and the identity of the shooter have not been officially disclosed by law enforcement at this time.<\/p>\n

As of the time of preparing this material, the special operation to search for and detain the attacker was ongoing. Information about his arrest has not yet been disclosed.<\/strong><\/p>\n
