Mykolaiv’s budget<\/strong> is being increased by 780<\/strong> million UAH: part of the funds will be directed to support the Defense Forces Today, September 1<\/strong>, deputies of the Mykolaiv City Council supported a decision to amend the budget of the Mykolaiv city territorial community for 2026<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

As reported by the director of the finance department Vira Sviatlyk<\/strong>, after the changes the community’s budget revenues will amount to 7,477<\/strong> billion UAH, and expenditures \u2014 7,792<\/strong> billion UAH. They propose to increase the revenue and expenditure parts of the budget in total by 780<\/strong> million UAH. The funds were formed from: 357,66<\/strong> million UAH \u2014 overperformance of the general fund of the budget; 17<\/strong> million UAH \u2014 proceeds from sale and rental of property; 1,6<\/strong> million UAH \u2014 remaining funds under the youth lending program; 408,48<\/strong> million UAH \u2014 interbudget transfers from the state and regional budgets.<\/p>\n

The additional financial resource is planned to be directed primarily to protected expenditures, in particular payment of utilities, as well as support for the Defense Forces of Ukraine. Separately<\/strong>, Mayor Oleksandr Senkevych<\/strong> noted that part of the funds allocated for defense support will be able to be used in 2027<\/strong> with the approval of the Defense Council.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere is no money of the city council or the mayor or officials. There is the money of taxpayers,\u201d \u2014 emphasized Oleksandr Senkevych<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

He thanked the former head of the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration Vitaliy Kim<\/strong> for assistance in this matter, as well as entrepreneurs and other taxpayers, thanks to whom the community received additional resources. According to the mayor, it was the early payment of dividends by certain enterprises that contributed to the increase in tax revenues.<\/p>\n
