Former Ukrainian defense minister Mykhailo Fedorov<\/strong> offered the United States<\/strong> help in creating “an army of drones” in exchange for supplying Ukraine with interceptor missiles for Patriot<\/strong> systems. This was reported by the Financial Times<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

I would be very happy to help America create an army of drones \u2014 especially in exchange for Patriot interceptors that Ukraine needs to survive the winter. I am ready to make such an exchange.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Fedorov declined to comment on a possible meeting in Washington with representatives of the U.S. presidential administration.<\/p>\n

At the same time, the former minister said he seeks advisory positions in partner countries. Among them he named Italy<\/strong>, France<\/strong> and the United States<\/strong>. Earlier, Fedorov<\/strong> became an advisor to Italy\u2019s defense minister on defense innovations.<\/p>\n

Separately, he said he intends to attract American investments to a defense technology fund. The idea is that the fund would create and develop companies that design new types of weaponry, and its work should, according to Fedorov, “write a new history of the war against Russia”.<\/p>\n

Negotiations on financing, the former minister said, are ongoing with venture capitalists, private investors and American technology companies.<\/p>\n

Fedorov believes the war could continue for another 2\u20133 years<\/strong>. He expects the fund will develop the most advanced battlefield solutions and also pass on to investors the experience Ukraine has gained during the war.<\/p>\n
