Detectives of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine<\/strong>, together with prosecutors of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office<\/strong>, exposed two<\/strong> servicemen. According to the investigation, they demanded money from representatives of a private enterprise for the unhindered acceptance of electronic warfare systems for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine<\/strong>. NABU reported this.<\/p>\n

In October 2025<\/strong> a public organization concluded a contract with a private company for the supply of EW devices with a total value of over UAH 22.4 million<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

As law enforcement established, one<\/strong> of the suspects is an officer of a military unit who had influence over the equipment acceptance procedure. Initially he demanded from the manufacturer 10<\/strong>% of the contract value, that is UAH 2.24 million<\/strong>. Later the size of the illicit benefit increased to 20<\/strong>% \u2014 UAH 4.48 million<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

According to the investigation, the other serviceman facilitated the implementation of this agreement. He received the first part of the money \u2014 USD 20,000<\/strong>. After that the suspects demanded that another USD 80,000<\/strong> be handed over to them.<\/p>\n

Both suspects were detained in accordance with Article 208<\/strong> of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine<\/strong>. One of them was notified of suspicion under part 4<\/strong> of Article 368<\/strong> of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, the other \u2014 under part 5<\/strong> of Article 27<\/strong> and part 4<\/strong> of Article 368<\/strong> of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.<\/p>\n

NABU and SAP urged manufacturers and suppliers of defense products to report instances of demands for illicit benefits during the execution of defense contracts.<\/p>\n

Law enforcement emphasized that cooperation with the investigation helps expose corruption in defense procurement. According to them, the funds demanded as bribes could have been used to increase volumes, improve quality, and produce products for the Defense Forces of Ukraine.<\/p>\n

Earlier it was reported that in the Mykolaiv region a former member of parliament organized a scheme to arrange fictitious disability.<\/p>\n
