On <strong data-start=\"1041\" data-end=\"1064\">27 August<\/strong> 2026 the <strong>Security Service of Ukraine<\/strong> reported this. In most documented cases, Russians or persons under their control call families, write in messengers, or make video calls. Sometimes conversations take place <strong data-start=\"1413\" data-end=\"1457\">in the presence of the prisoner himself<\/strong> to increase psychological pressure.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1493\" data-end=\"1562\">Relatives are being pressured to provide sensitive information, in particular:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"1564\" data-end=\"1752\">\n<li data-section-id=\"c6dvo5\" data-start=\"1564\" data-end=\"1623\">locations of <strong data-start=\"1585\" data-end=\"1622\">military facilities and units<\/strong>;<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"181n0fp\" data-start=\"1625\" data-end=\"1681\">routes of movement of <strong data-start=\"1649\" data-end=\"1680\">equipment and personnel<\/strong>;<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"6ljbnx\" data-start=\"1683\" data-end=\"1752\">contacts and personal data of <strong data-start=\"1716\" data-end=\"1751\">Ukrainian servicemembers<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"1754\" data-end=\"1971\">In some cases, Russian intelligence immediately demands organizing a <strong data-start=\"1823\" data-end=\"1864\">sabotage, terrorist attack, or contract killing<\/strong>. People may also be involved in information-psychological campaigns aimed at discrediting Ukraine. In exchange, the enemy allegedly promises better treatment of the prisoner or his inclusion in <strong data-start=\"2053\" data-end=\"2073\">&#8220;exchange lists&#8221;<\/strong>. However, the SBU emphasizes: <strong data-start=\"2100\" data-end=\"2185\">carrying out criminal tasks in no way affects the release<\/strong> of a person from captivity. Some fraudsters also demand money from relatives, unjustifiably promising to return their loved ones home.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2331\" data-end=\"2520\">The SBU advises <strong data-start=\"2344\" data-end=\"2414\">not to provide information, not to comply with demands, and not to pay money<\/strong>.
