On Wednesday, 26 August<\/strong>, in Mykolaiv<\/strong> they bade farewell to Senior Sergeant of Police Vadym Domaiev<\/strong>. The 40-year-old<\/strong> law enforcement officer died from severe wounds sustained during an attack by a Russian strike drone.<\/p>\n

This was reported by the National Police of Ukraine<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Vadym Domaiev<\/strong> served in law enforcement for almost 20 years<\/strong>. In the summer of 2024<\/strong> he joined the special-purpose police battalion \u00abStriletskyi<\/strong>\u00bb of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Kherson Oblast<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Recently the officer was working almost daily as part of a mobile fire group that defended Kherson<\/strong> from enemy drones.<\/p>\n

21 August<\/strong> a Russian strike drone attacked the group in which Vadym Domaiev<\/strong> was present. The policeman sustained severe injuries and was hospitalized. Despite the efforts of medics, on the morning of 24 August<\/strong> his body could not withstand the injuries. The man died without regaining consciousness.<\/p>\n

“His death was a heavy loss for his colleagues. They will always remember him as a good friend and a reliable partner. The policeman is survived by his mother, his wife and his daughter.”<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Leaders of the regional police headquarters, comrades-in-arms, employees of other units and sectoral services came to see the officer off on his final journey and pay their respects.<\/p>\n
